Disinfecting Surfaces
At this point, it is not only the human contact we should be cautious about. In fact, we must take care of any surface that we touch too. Chances are, it must have come in contact with someone who is already ill.
Disinfecting the surfaces at homes and offices must not be neglected especially if it is a shared space. Now is the time for the compulsive need to clean to come out.
Cleaning Phones
Phones are something we can’t live without and there’s no doubt about the fact that the screens may be the most infected surface that we touch throughout the day. Washing your hands is great but the purpose is dissolved immediately after your touch your own phone again. In addition to cleaning your hands, clean your phone at least once a day too.
Wearing The Masks
It is only logical that one must wear masks because the virus travels through respiratory tracts. It is advisable to wear the mask if you are getting out of your house or are sick but this does not mean hoarding it because it will only deprive others who might actually need them. Although the masks are not a hundred percent foolproof, guidelines have been provided by WHO on how to wear them.
Stockpiling Masks
People have been frantically stockpiling materials including face masks that have caused a shortage in supply. It is prudent to desist from stockpiling and let people who are actually at higher risk use them.
Hoarding Food
It is understandable to hoard food supplies only in a remote area where the town’s only grocery shop may shut down at any moment.
Also, do not eat non-vegetarian food!
